Peking University International Degree-Seeking Program for Ph.D. in Economics
Program Introduction:
This program is specially designed for non-Chinese citizens, and is intended to help international experienced economics professionals who are interested in advancing their academic or business development in China. This program will focus on Chinese economic development, study China's economic reform, and help students to explore the role of innovation systems, industrial clusters, engineering and technology in the economic transformation on-going in China.
The program is organized by School of Government, Peking University. Students who fulfill curriculum and research requirements within 4 years will be conferred with degree of Doctor of Philosophy in economics by PKU.

- Complete the curriculum in two years, including two weeks onsite courses in Beijing + 172 hours distant learning under instruction per academic year.
- Conduct research and submit dissertation to Ph.D. program committee within 4 years.
- At least one publication on economic journals or international economics conference.
- Pass final oral thesis defense.
Application Prerequisites:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
- Applicants must attained a B.E./B.A. or master degree.
- Applicants must have at least 5 years of professional experience.
